The company’s journey took a major step recently with the acquisition of Grainger and Worrall Engineering Limited, a Worcester-based engineering business with a long-standing history of technical expertise. This purchase secured the future of all the employees at the site. The move marked a significant milestone in Bridge Aluminium’s ongoing expansion and growth. Steve Wood, Operations Director of Bridge Aluminium, emphasised the importance of the acquisition, stating that the business has substantial growth plans that are now bolstered by the addition of Grainger and Worrall’s skilled workforce and capabilities. This acquisition not only safeguarded jobs but also extended Bridge Aluminium’s manufacturing scope. By adding sandcasting to its already impressive portfolio of gravity, low-pressure, and high-pressure casting methods, the company now possesses a broader capability in complex castings for both production and pre-production volumes.
