Safety, Reliability & Performance
Our advanced foundry produces high performance castings for a wide range of sectors, supplying critical components ranging from powertrain parts to automotive body-in-white assemblies. To meet the expectations of these industries, we rely on stringent inspection processes, and non-destructive testing (NDT) plays a vital role in ensuring that every casting leaving our facility meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. Non-destructive testing allows us to inspect and evaluate materials and components without compromising their usability. By detecting internal or surface defects such as cracks, voids, or inconsistencies, NDT safeguards against the risks of structural failure and ensures compliance with demanding specifications. At Bridge Aluminium, we integrate NDT via x-ray and crack detection techniques into the heart of our production workflow so potential issues can be identified early, long before they reach the customer. This commitment not only protects product integrity but also reduces waste, lowers costs, and ensures that only the strongest, most reliable castings move forward.

Ensuring Total Confidence
DELIVERING SAFETY & CONFIDENCE
Our in-house facilities include x-ray inspection and crack detection systems, which give us the capability to inspect castings thoroughly and consistently. These systems are particularly valuable in automotive, braking and off-highway applications, where even the smallest defect could have serious consequences. By embedding these processes within production, we eliminate delays and can provide rapid feedback, improving efficiency across the entire value chain. The ability to carry out inspection on site also offers greater flexibility, enabling us to respond quickly to both production and pre-production requirements. Conventional methods such as visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, radiographic testing, and ultrasonic testing are widely used in the industry, while more advanced techniques such as phased array ultrasonic testing, digital radiography, and thermography are increasingly adopted for greater precision and speed. As our foundry Group grows, our inspection capacity will continue to expand in parallel.
Meeting Demanding Standards
NDT is not a standalone step but an integral part of our fully connected production process. Working across our foundries, we benefit from a complete value chain that includes heat treatment, machining and protective finishing. This ensures that our customers receive components that have been managed and assured at every stage of their journey. By combining skilled people, advanced technology, and a relentless focus on detail, we deliver castings that meet the most demanding standards of today’s automotive and off-highway industries.
